Global Inventory of Advanced Rare Earth Element Assets
Author: Andrew Gulley, PhD, Gulley@StrategicMineralConsulting.com
Abstract
This inventory summarizes operating rare earth element (REE) assets, mine projects that have reported resources or reserves, mine projects that have received significant U.S. government funding, and advanced facilities for processing, cracking, separation, smelting, metallization, alloying, and magnet production. The scope is global and all-encompassing. Where readily available for each operation, country, company (i.e., ownership), asset name, deposit type, resource and reserve estimates, production process, government funding (not just the U.S. government), and offtake agreements are summarized.
The status of rare earth assets around the globe is changing rapidly. The date stamp for this information is April 2026. This inventory is presented alphabetically by country and company. Sources are presented as footnotes to facilitate inspection and access by the reader. Every effort is made to provide an unbiased description of each asset based on the most reliable information available.
This information was collected by hand, written by hand, and meticulously referenced. When the information presented here contradicts what is found through research via A.I., remember that the A.I. information is being sourced from the cacophony of unreliable and/or biased rare earth element information increasingly being posted online.
